What are the things to keep in mind for a first-timer who is attempting UPSC Mains Examination?

Take this as a competitive exam like any other competitive exams. Study well for 8 hours per day. It is your consistency that is most necessary for the exam. If you have that consistency, you can clear the exam.

Don’t try to complete every material you have bought for the exam. At this stage, it is wise to revise the most important books. Preparing everything is not desirable here. More on the books that are needed for the exam

Revision & Revision! The most important task right now is this. Make sure you revisit all your Test Series, Answer sheet too along with subject revision and their inputs and comments to improve so that you can implement them in your final exam.

Focus on what you can do right now and proceed. Do not think about the time wasted on anything past or unnecessary things. Start acting now!

Remember Everyone is Unique. Just because some technique has worked for a topper or anyone does not mean it will work for you. Do not get frightened by other’s techniques or advice. Follow your plan.

Be realistic! About the plan, the amount of time you can contribute, and everything.

Everyone who got selected was once a novice. Restlessness and uneasiness are quite common now.

Plan time management for your answers before entering your exam hall. More on this will be published soon.

Sleep & health- 8 hours of sleep and a healthy diet make you sail properly.

All the best!
