1) 3-day annual Sindhu Darshan Festival begins today in Ladakh region of J&K
•The three-day annual Sindhu Darshan Festival celebrates on the bank of Indus River starts from today in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. 

•The Festival organised by Sindhu Darshan Yatra Samiti and Ladakh Phandey Tsogspa, Leh, will be inaugurate by RSS General Secretary Bhaiya Ji.

•The programme is focused at national integration, communal harmony and national pride. 

•It will be marked by holy dip in the Indus River, hosting of national flag and cultural programme of different areas of the country. 

•This year mark the 22nd Sindhu Darshan festival and it was started by the former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani in 1997

2) President Kovind to present Fourth National Awards for outstanding services in field of Prevention of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse
•President Ram Nath Kovind will present the Fourth National Awards for outstanding services in the field of Prevention of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse on Tuesday. 

•The awards will be conferred to the institutions and individuals on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking organized by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in New Delhi.

•Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawarchand Gehlot, and other Ministers of State, NGOs, national and international organizations, state government officials, students and personnel from para military forces will attend the function.

3) India’s R Praggnanandhaa Becomes World’s 2nd Youngest Chess Grand Master
•India’s R Praggnanandhaa has become the country’s youngest and the world’s second youngest Grand Master at the age of 12 years, 10 months and 13 days after reaching the final round of the ongoing Grendine Open in Italy. 

•The Chennai-based player was paired with Grand Master Prujjsers Roland in the final round, which ensured that he would achieve the feat. Ukraine’s Sergey Karjakin remains the youngest ever GM, having achieved the feat at the age of 12 years and seven months in 2002.
