1) PM Modi and Israe PM Netanyahu visit Teen Murti Chowk for solemn ceremony
•Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in New Delhi this afternoon on a six-day visit to India. He was received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Palam airport. Later, Mr Modi in a tweet message, welcomed Mr Netanyahu to India. He said, Mr Netanyahu's visit to India is a special historic and will strengthen the close ties between the two countries.
•Mr Modi and Mr Netanyahu also visited Teen Murti Chowk for a solemn ceremony at the Teen Murti Memorial and paid homage to Indian soldiers who sacrifice their life to liberate Haifa in 1918. The ceremony marked the formal renaming of Teen Murti Chowk as the Teen Murti Haifa Chowk. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will call on the visiting dignitary in a short while.
2) Indian satellite technology at par with world standards: ISRO's Director Tapan Mishra
•Noted scientist and Director of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)'s Space Applications Centre of Ahmedabad, Tapan Mishra has said, the Indian satellite technology is at par with world standards.
•He was delivering the 34th annual seminar and 18th Dr Triguna Sen Memorial lecture on Indian Space Research and Relevant Achievements in New Delhi.
•Mr Mishra said, the international community has confidence in India's indigenous technology which reduces the cost of the satellite launch.
3) Makar Sankranti being celebrated across country; President & PM greet nation
•Makar Sankranti is being celebrated today and the festival is seen as a celebration of the end of the winter solstice month and also marks the end of the winter harvest.
•The festival is known with different names in different parts of the country. It is celebrated as Pongal in Tamil Nadu, Uttarayan in Gujarat, Bhogali Bihu in Assam and Poush Sankranti in West Bengal.
4) BSE's India International Exchange Lists IRFC's First Green Bond
•The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)'s India International Exchange listed the first bond on its Global Securities Market.
•The bonds issued by Indian Railways Finance Corporation (IRFC) are one of the highest credit rated bonds issued by an Indian corporate and has been IRFC's first foray into the Green Bond market.
